Sentry was a mainstay on the East Coast playing shows,
garnering their sound and building a following in those
early days. The band played many shows with opening
band FURY, another killer Christian hard rock band hailing
from that scene around the same time. Also to note the
band used to play at the legendary club The Channel in
Boston where many bands including Extreme used to frequent.
It would not be until a few years into their existing the

One of the earlier releases from the Frontline Records
catalog comes by way of a hard rock alternative
band similar to Idle Cure and Whiteheart. That band
D.O.X., which was a clever acronym for Defenders of the
Cross, would debut with their self-titled album in 1986.
This would be the bands debut and one and only
release on Frontline Records, although in 1989 the
band would release their sophomore record
‘Through The Fire’ independently before fading away
and becoming another underground hidden gem in the
Christian rock world.
Amazingly, this album was arranged and produced by a
very notable and high-profile producer who was in high
demand at that time. That would be the one and only
Terry Scott Taylor (Daniel Amos, Swirling Eddies, Lost Dogs)
and he also penned a couple of the tracks on this release.
Well, we are very excited to bring it to you, for the first
time ever, on CD. Originally Frontline Records only released
this one on Vinyl and Cassette, as at this point in time
when it came to physical media, the CD was just starting out.
Well now celebrating the releases 40th anniversary we bring
it to you in a limited edition CD format.

beautiful jewel case collectors edition CD. Complete
with an 8-page full lyric booklet. The original cover art

This is a theme-album based entirely on the Old Testament
Books of Jonah, Nahum and Zephaniah, and was born out of
a concept of a 4-song EP and several singles. The interconnected
events of the books, which focus on the prophesied fall of the
city of Nineveh—the crown jewel of the Assyrian Empire—are
covered from beginning to end, as faithful to Scripture as
possible. The lyrics for each song derive from historical records
and actual scripture from the Books of Jonah, Nahum, and
Zephaniah, as well as the Gospel of Matthew!!
The album will also feature the amazing artwork of
Ryan Close, who previously illustrated "Maximum Strength:
'The Best of the First Decade' album!

2026 marks 40 years since the release of one of
the most iconic albums in the Christian Metal world
or in the Metal world in general for that
matter. This year we plan to celebrate a landmark
album that made a lasting impact on a generation
of people and the music world back in 1986, and
still to this day in 2026.
Roxx Records is extremely excited to share with
you our interpretation of that album as we bring
you
“Roxx Records Salutes the Soldiers Under Command
on the…40th
Anniversary of To Hell With The Devil”
That’s right! We are going to be sharing with
the world our love and support for the band
and this historic release, as we bring you a very
special salute to this legendary album as
written and recorded by Stryper! This very special
“salute” will cover every single track on the album
in chronological order from beginning to end,
and end with a classic bonus track of
“Soldiers Under Command.”
When we initially put the call out to many of our
artists, we were not sure what to expect or how
much support we would get. We were blown
away at the quick response and overwhelming
love and support out there for this 40-year-old,
dare we say “classic” album, and all the
accomplishments it made and doors that it opened.
This release all came together easily and very
nicely with amazing new interpretations of all the
tracks and music. As well as amazing music for
this salute, we have amazing new artwork featuring
a new interpretation of the iconic ‘angel’ cover art.
Since this album needs little to no introduction,
we are prepared to now share with you the entire
