Hi my name is Jacob Folk & I'm from South Carolina, USA. In 2007 God put me and our family on a huge adventure to be foreign missionary to Costa Rica. I live near a volcano called Irazú and do discipleship in various homes all over the volcano teaching God's grace.
I launched this site - 'Christian Molten Metal', in April of 2014 because it has been my desire for quite some time to create a site that you can find Christian Bands from Metal to Rock that not only Shred but have a great Christ centered message.

Where Metal Meets Ministry
A True Christian Band should have a good Christ centered message pointing others to Christ Jesus, encouraging us in the path, Giving us biblical counsel, Warning us of the evil one and his tricks, and telling us of future events to come according to the Bible etc etc. The Christian market today, is flooded with talented bands but if they do not have a great Biblical message or try and hide the gospel message then they were left off my list.
In the Bible in Luke 9:26, it says,"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels." The Bible also tells us in Mathew 7:15-16 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits..." When a band calls itself Christian but hides their message, then their fruit is obvious cause the band has chosen to not "offend" anyone, Friends, the gospel is offensive to the world but it has the power to convict and bring the lost to Christ. If we are going to reach the lost or encourage the christians, then it must be communicated boldly. They rejected Christ for telling the truth and if you do the same, perhaps they will reject you too. If you will proclaim the Truth boldly, then When we see Jesus face to face, you will not have to be ashamed because you will have made Jesus happy with your service.
When writing your lyrics to your songs, we need to know who you are talking about. Don't assume that when you put "He" or "You", that we know that you are talking about God or Jesus. There are many "gods" out there and if you only put "He" then one only has to fill in the blank with which ever god they want. Lets be bold and let them know that "He" is Jesus Christ the one and only Savior for the world.

The Sword Scale is my way of showing the listener how well the bands lyrics share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Sword Scale is a grade on lyrical content and how well the Gospel was expressed. This is not a grade for how good the band is musically! If the band is on my site then they already are considered a good band!
The Sword represents the "Word" as found in Ephesians 6:17 "Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word." (For more info on lyrics, see article above the Sword Scale Logo)
"If lyrics are muddy and some what difficult to understand due to a band singing in a different language that's not their heart language or if the vocalist's pronunciation, in any way or form, is not letting the words be understood then It could mean that I subtract 1 Sword."

(1-Sword) The band failed to let us know who they are talking about and put He or You in place of Jesus! However, Lyrics are OK! having enough evangelical sustenance to be here, but the overall album's lyrics are on the weaker side! ( If you only got 1 sword then you might want to ask yourself: Who am I serving? )

According to Wikipedia- A record label is a brand or trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos. Often, a record label is also a publishing company that manages such brands and trademarks; coordinates the production, manufactures, distribution, marketing, promotion, and enforcement of copyright for sound recordings and music videos; conducts talent scouting and development of new artists ("artists and repertoire" or "A&R"); and maintains contracts with recording artists and their managers. The term "record label" derives from the circular label in the center of a vinyl record which prominently displays the manufacturer's name, along with other information.Within the music industry, most recording artists have become increasingly reliant upon record labels to broaden their consumer base, market their albums, and be both promoted and heard on MP3, radio, and television, with publicists that assist performers in positive media reports to market their merchandise, and make it available via stores and other media outlets. Record labels may be small, localized, and "independent" ("indie"), or they may be part of a large international media group, or somewhere in between.
