Spiritual Plague formed in 2005 by cousins Garrett Olmstead-Drums & Lyndon Lewis-Guitar. Then In 2007 Lyndon’s brother, Preston Lewis joined as frontman to complete the band. The idea behind the band's name is that it's a condensed version of their mission statement. "We want the Spiritual Word of God to spread like a Plague".

2009
Spiritual Plague is an up and coming band that stepped onto the Rock scene in 2009 with the release of their 3 track EP 'The Exodus'. This 2009 EP included tracks 1. "The Exodus" 2. "One Shot" and 3. "Let The Fire Fall".
2013
In 2013, Spiritual Plague released their debut full-length album titled 'Volume 1' which was comprised of many of their single releases. The band's Symphonic sound is noticeable from track to track, adding punch and an uplifting sound to their arrangements. It's interesting that Power Metal bands often achieve this uplifting sound by means of strings as well, such as the 6 stringed guitar by means of fast riffs.
lead Vocalist Preston Lewis sings more in the mid-range and often extends it up to some slightly higher ranges. One thing that stands out about Preston is you can hear the excitement in his delivery of Who he is singing about.

The Guitar is managed by Lyndon Lewis who keeps it driving while mixing well with the Symphonic touches.
Lyndon states: "When I'm upset, bored, excited, happy or sad, I channel it through my music. For me, music is one of the most powerful tools of expression."

Garrett Olmstead is the drummer for the band who plays in a more modern day Rock style while varying time changes between slower and intense arrangements.
Garrett states: "I eventually realized that I could take m y love for drums and combine them with my passion for the teachings of Jesus Christ. Upon receiving this notion, Lyndon and I started the band Spiritual Plague. It's been an awesome adventure and I'm always looking forward to what's ahead."

Keith Lewis handles the keys for Spiritual Plague and helps add mood and inspiration to the arrangements.
Keith states: " I really wasn't that kind of guy who played instruments or felt comfortable in front of a large group of people, but as time went by I could see a change in myself. A change to stop living life for me, and to start living life for God...Even though we have been together for over 5 years, I still get butterflies in my stomach before every show. I believe that's God's way of letting me know I'm only human haha, and every show is just one more chance to impact those around me."
