Seventh Servant is a heavy metal band from the U.S. that was founded back in 2006 by John Greely former vocalist for Iced Earth on their album 'Night of the Stormrider'. Seventh Servant steps onto the world stage at a time when the Christian Rock & Metal scene is somewhat inundated with a plethora of bands releasing albums. What sets 7th Servant apart from other bands, is their epic sound which incorporates over-the-top Melodic Heavy Metal mixed with progressive elements accompanied by atmospheric orchestrations all lightly seasoned with Power Metal flavorings.
Even though the group saw its conception back in 2006, it wouldn't be until 2018 that the band would release their independent 2-track EP titled 'The Benediction'. This EP release featured the tracks 1."Revelation of Jesus Christ" 2."The Almighty One". The band's original line-up was comprised of vocalist/Guitarist-John Greely, bassist-Ginger Sizemore, and drummer-Shawn Walker.
Not long after the release of 'The Benediction', Seventh Servant continued working over the next decade and a half on material for a full-length studio album.

2022
In 2022 Seventh Servant released their debut full-length studio album smartly titled 'The Tree of Life' on Roxx Records. With over 15 years in the making, 'The Tree of Life' is sure to please both Metal and Power Metal fans. The album was Produced by John Greely along with Executive Producer-Bill Bafford. The record was mix & engineered by Miah Lajeunesse at his personal studio-The Sound Lair in Tennessee. The album's production is second to none with the mix polished to a bright luster allowing all instruments to be heard within the arrangements. The album's cover art was both designed & done by Scott Waters of NoLifeTillMetal. The album features two discs on CD format, just as the LP-Record version features 2 vinyl LP's in a gatefold limited edition package. The album's extra disc features an instrumental version of each song as an additional bonus.
'The Tree of Life' has been called 7th Servant's
magnus opus release with good reason. What we have here is spot on vocals, Epic guitar riffs, punishing drum lines, relentless bass rumble, and heavenly-orchestration from beginning to end making this an album to remember. The band's epic-orchestrated Metal sound will appeal to a broad range of fans including those who love old-school 80's Metal along with pleasing those who love present modern-day Metal.
This debut release, saw the addition of two new band members including lead guitarist-Miah Lajeunesse, and pianist-Marinos Tokas. 7th Servant's full line-up includes vocalist/Guitarist-John Greely, bassist-Ginger Sizemore, guitarist-Miah Lajeunesse, pianist-Marinos Tokasand, and drummer-Shawn Walker.
Some might say that with only 7-tracks, this album must fall under the EP listing. However, the album's 7-songs clock in at a whopping 57 min total playing time making this a full-length album. The track-list for 'The Tree of Life' includes
(Disc 1) 1.Revelation0 2.The Almighty One 3.Forevermore 4.Tree of Life 5.Whitestone 6.Jezebel 7.Open Door  (Disc 2) 1.Revelation(instrumental) 2.The Almighty One(instrumental) 3.Forevermore (instrumental) 4.Tree of Life  (instrumental) 5.Whitestone(instrumental) 6.Jezebel(instrumental) 7.Open Door(instrumental).
John Greely might have been known for his work as frontman for Iced Earth back in the early 90's but after listeners hear his performance on this 2022 album fans will have a new reference for knowing John's work.  Greely's vocal performance brings enough passion & grit to the table earning him the Heavy Metal stamp of approval by this listener. On track-6 "Jezebel", John garners some additional help with vocals by guest vocalist-Tim'Ripper'Owens(Judas Priest, Iced Earth).

Guitars are managed from a duo guitar approach featuring lead guitarist-Miah Lajeunesse & rhythm guitarist-John Greely(Ex-Iced Earth). Miah & Greely both offer up some memorial guitar moments throughout this release. Miah Lajeunesse shows his prowess as he unleashes some epic guitar play and solos that are guaranteed to capture the attention of the guitar afficionado.
Hats off to Shawn Walker for his performance on this album. Shawn's drum work really stands out with plenty of time changes and progressive attitude giving this album an extra one-two punch. In addition, bassist- Ginger Sizemore adds her part as well bringing a fullness to the band's arrangements with her heavy bass lines.
The band's lyrics, on this 2022 release, take the listener
on a journey through the first three chapters of the book of Revelations.
The album's lyrics are taken directly from the bible as one can see in the following excerpts:
"Revelation"
(Revelation 1:1-6)
The revelation of Jesus Christ
Which God gave him to show his servants
Things which must shortly take place
And He sent and He signified it
By His angel to His servant John
Who bore witness to the word of God
And the testimony of Jesus Christ
To all the things, to all the things he saw

"The Almighty One"
(Revelation 1:7-11)
Behold, He's coming in the clouds
And every eye will see Him
Even they who pierced Him
And all the tribes of the earth will mourn
Because of Him, even so, amen
Because of Him, even so, amen

I Am the Alpha and the Omega
I Am the beginning and the end
Says the Lord
And who is and who was
And who is to come, the Almighty
The Almighty One

"Forevermore"
(Revelation 1:12-20)
 And when I saw him,
I fell at His feet as dead.
But he laid his right hand on me, saying to me
 Do not be afraid
I Am the first and the last
I Am He who lives
And was dead and behold
I Am alive forever more, Amen
And I have the keys of Hades and of Death

"Tree of Life"
(Revelation 2:1-11)
I know your works
Your labor your patience
That you cannot bear those who are evil
But you have tested those
Who say they are apostles and are not
And have found them liars

"Whitestone"
(Revelation 2:12-17)
He who has an ear
let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches
To him who overcomes
I will give some of the hidden manna to each
And I will give him a white stone
And in the stone a new name
Written, which no one knows
Except for him, except for him who receives it

"Jezebel"
(Revelation 2:18-29)
And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write
These things says the Son of God
Who has eyes like a flame of fire
And his feet are like, they're like fine brass
His feet are like fine brass

"Open Door"
(Revelation 3:1-22)
Remember therefore how you have received and heard
 Hold fast, and repent
Therefore, if you will not watch
I will come among you as a thief
And you will not know what hour
I will come upon you
