Lytron
Lytron is a Melodic Rock band from Sweden with a sound similar to bands like Messiah(album-Final Warning) Unfortunately, most of Lytron's history is shrouded in mystery due to a lack of information on the internet. What we do know is that the band has two releases to their credit with a 5-track EP that was originally released back in the 90's and re-released in 2018 titled 'Love and Grace'. Then in 1996 Lytron released a full-length album titled 'Explosion of Joy'.
In 2018 Lytron re-released their 1996 independent full-length album gracefully titled 'Explosion of Joy'. The album was recorded & mixed at Bosse Andersson Studios in Vallen, Mellanfjärden, Sweden along with all photography being handled by Dan Håkansson.
Found on the album's cover art is the Greek word λύτρov and the band's name Lytron which we find that both words have the same Greek meaning - ransom, redemption, and atonement. There is an obvious connection with the band's moniker and the word λύτρov with the ransom that Jesus paid on the cross as He gave His life to redeem us from our sins.
Classic Rock fans have a lot to look forward to within this 2018 re-release. From track to track the genre styles vary with everything from Power Rock to 70’s and 80’s style Rock to Contemporary and everything in between. Some tracks that stand out from the others are “Different Kind of Life”, “Right Beside Us”, “The Sign”, and “Dream”.
At times, frontman-Alf Larsson's vocals draw comparison to Charles Michael(Messiah) and the band's vocal harmonies often bring to mind The Beatles. (The band's album cover art also brings to mind The Beatles).
Guitarist-Sven Dalmin does a good job for the band and will surprise the listener at times with his diversity. Sven's guitar work is also featured in a couple of Rockin instrumentals including track-1 "Explosion Of Joy" & track-12 “Safe”.

Lyrics are overtly Christ centered and present the Light of Jesus Christ. The following are some lyric excerpts from various tracks:
"The Sign"
Sometimes it seems
It's all in your dreams
Where can you run?
You can't take back the things you've done
So many wants to be set free
But how could they be
When all the time
They're crossing the line
Instead of freedom they are bound
Just turning around
Finds no way out looking for a sign
"Dream"
Oh oh oh Go out and tell the people in your street
All that Jesus has done when He died on Calvary
Oh oh oh Go out and tell the people in your street
That Jesus has reached out His hand
"Right Beside Us"
'Til Your Spirit came near
released me from my mess
I can feel that He's here right beside me
wants to change my Winter into Spring
Love can change and turn around
everybody that's been bound
You can live and be free
Rejoice cause you've been found!
No matter what happens to you
He'll be there to see you through
And your never alone
You'll always wind up two
Sometimes it seems
It's all in your dreams
Where can you run?
You can't take back the things you've done
So many wants to be set free
But how could they be
When all the time
They're crossing the line
Instead of freedom they are bound
Just turning around
Finds no way out looking for a sign
