HarvestBloom is a female fronted Rock band hailing from Silverspring, Maryland that formed back in 2007. In 2009 HarvestBloom stepped onto the Rock scene with the release of their debut 5-track self-titled EP. To the band's delight, their debut was met with favorable reviews and airtime on Christian Rock Radio. They followed up their debut with the release of their 2010 sophomore 6-track EP sinisterly titled 'Devil's Poison'. Devil's Poison was produced by Tony Correlli(Ashes Remain/Orphan Project) at Deep End Recording Studio in Baltimore, Maryland. Like a beast, in 2011 HarvestBloom showed no signs of stopping with the release of their third studio production. The band's 2011 release was a 4-track offering simply titled 'Let It Go'. Then in 2012 they released their first full-length studio album smartly titled 'The Narcissist'.
Some of the band's achievements include their Radio Single "Let It Go" which peaked on the NEW & ACTIVE Christian Rock Radio Chart-Billboard Magazine on September 2, 2011. "Let It Go" was picked up by over 100 college radio stations and was submitted at #8 to the CMJ(College Music Journal) Charts.
HarvestBloom’s song "Natural Compulsion" was chosen for the Indie Showcase Sonicbids Audio Channel on all US Airways and Delta flights for the months of July and August 2011.

Within the group's biography we find that they have performed in numerous rock and worship bands and now have years of experience performing live. HarvestBloom has performed on various stages from New York City to New Orleans along with other states near the Eastern Coast.
In 2012 HarvestBloom released their fourth studio production, which would prove to be their first full-length album, titled 'The Narcissist' on the HarvestBloom Music label. The album was Produced by Tony Correlli along with HarvestBloom and was recorded at Deep End Recording Studios in Baltimore, MD. This 2012 release draws from their two previous EP releases - 'Let It Go' and 'Devil's Poison' along with their 2011 single release-"The Narcissist". The Narcissist is both a warning to one who is proud and unable to let go of the world, and a plea to turn one’s life around by choosing Jesus.
This release has garnered the band some recognition with it having been spun on both Christian Rock Radio and College Radio stations. The Music Video for The Narcissist was accepted to the 3rd Annual New Media Film Festival and world premiered at the Landmark Theatre in LA in mid-June this same year where HarvestBloom graced the red carpet.

With their latest release we find Vocalist-Anji Cornette returning to her position as lead vocalist for the band. Anji handles the mic well showcasing passion and charisma while delivering up a heart felt performance. I can see Anji's vocal style mixing well with any decade from the 80's to the 90's all the way up to present day.
When it comes to Rock music in general, normally I don't expect a high level of guitar skill to be found. Mostly what I expect to find is simple accompaniment riffs permeating throughout the project. However, guitarist-Patrick Cornette has decided to break the norm as he takes Rock to a higher level with his melodic solos and crunchy guitar licks. Patrick further mixes things up on track-5 "In Her Head" by introducing some Grunge style riffs all the while keeping it real with some sweet melodic solos.
Percussionist-Greg Burkhammer keeps time for the band and I must say that when he drops the hammer(punn intended) the songs come to life. Greg's drumming style is full of punch and drive adding more for the listener to appreciate within this 2012 release.
lyrics are ministry minded and overtly Christ centered as one can see in the following excerpts:
"In Her Head"
It’s time to open your eyes, not give in, to these lies
Realize, you’ve got to have Faith, drop your pride and choose Grace…YEAH
Chorus
They tried to fill up her head Oh Her head
Oh, you won’t believe what they said Oh no
She’s got to
Stop cheating herself
Stop feeling helpless
Start living today
She needs to hear what God says
"Last Hour"
The world will fall away and
Where I go you cannot follow
The hour is coming fast
For me to leave this world
I’ve walked this long dark road
For you I lay me down
Chorus
Remember my body broken
Remember the cross I bore
Remember you’re not forsaken
Remember you’re not alone
"My Sweet Jesus"
I need Your wisdom
Oh King Jesus
It keeps me focused
On love and mercy
You are my Maker
Devine Creator
I need forgiving
My Sweet Jesus
It’s time to open your eyes, not give in, to these lies
Realize, you’ve got to have Faith, drop your pride and choose Grace…YEAH
Chorus
