Charlee Buitrago is a latino artist hailing from Greenville, South Carolina with a keen sense for recording Rock tunes that are melodic in nature.
Charlee Buitrago is the oldest of two children in his family, was born on April 3 in San Cristobal, Venezuela and has a moving testimony of God’s grace in his life. Growing up in a family who has dedicated their lives to the service of Jesus Christ, Charlee began to discover his love for music at a very early age. “I remembered Listening to my uncle Chucho lead worship at church and going to almost all of his concerts and wanting to do the same thing one day”.
By adolescence, Charlee joined the worship team at his church in Venezuela. He was the lead guitarist, but was too shy to sing and lead worship in front of the congregation. During these years of his life he began to grow apart from God and became a very rebellious teenager putting down the guitar and music. “It wasn’t till I moved to the US and began to realize that God wanted to use me for His glory, but I needed to make Him Lord of life”, says Charlee, “so, God extended His hand and rescued me”.
Charlee is a gifted artist and worship leader who uses his gifts not only to lead Christians to the presence of the living God, but also to show His love to those who don’t know Him. “God has spoken to me through music so many times, and I believe He can use my music to speak to others of what He has done in my life.” Charlee has been leading people to the throne of God ever since.

I (the Reviewer) personally live in Costa Rica up on a volcano called Irazú as a missionary from the U.S. A few years ago, Charlee Buitrago came to Costa Rica and did a gig up high on volcano Irazú in a villiage called Santa Rosa where we have been evangelizing and making disciples. I had the privilege of finding the band members to perform with Charlee and to contract out the use of a stage, sound equipment, and lights. The sound crew did an amazing job with the sound and the musicians all sounded like they had performed together for the past 10 years. We all had a wonderful time and made contacts from the help of Charlee and the band. One moment that really stuck out was as it got dark and the band was performing, Charlee paused and addressed the houses going on up the mountain behind all the concert viewers. He told the viewers in the houses that if they were listening, then to switch their porch lights off and on again. it was so cool as we saw houses going way up the mountain flicking their lights in excitement. One of the sweet moments within the concert was when the drummer broke out the double bass pedal while the band rocked out, it really got the crowd fired up!
The following photo was taken by me of Charlee Buitrago and the band performing in Santa Rosa between 8 and 9 thousand feet up on Volcano Irazú.

Charlee comes highly recommended as he is very genuine in his faith and love for others because I personally have witnessed it first hand having worked closely with him on project Irazú so check out his music and help support him by buying his albums.
