CHAINED is an old-school Thrash Metal band from Piteå in Norrbotten, Sweden that formed back in 2006. The band's sound draws inspiration from Pantera while incorporating a little Southern Rock-Groove into their Thrash arrangements. After forming, CHAINED wasted no time as they entered the studio and began work on a demo recording. In 2007 CHAINED finished their independent 2-track demo recording titled 'Shattered Minds'. The track-list for 'Shattered Minds' included 1.Like a Rattlesnake 2.Shattered Minds.

2009
In 2009 CHAINED stepped onto the Metal scene with the release of their debut full-length studio album titled 'Grateful Sinner' on an indie label. With a solid traditional Thrash sound, 'Grateful Sinner' helped the band establish footing and garner recognition within the Christian Metal community. For an indie release, the band really did a good job on the album's production & sound quality. The guitar work stands out from beginning to end helping to give the songs a full sound. Another thing that's noticeable about the shred is how there is not just Thrash and Djent going on. We also find plenty of tasty solos laced throughout that help showcase the prowess of the guitar section.

In 2010 CHAINED re-released their independent 2009 debut album-'Grateful Sinner' as a self-titled release. However, the only notable difference between this 2010 release and the band's 2009 album is the addition of a bonus song. The added song is track-13 "Tearing Down My Walls (Live & Unplugged)".
