At Home is an international Hard Rock band from both the USA and Poland that formed back in 2017. At Home is a collaboration between guitarist-Dave Hanson from Wisconsin and singer-Alina Lewandowska from Poland. Two different musicians from different locations in the world having joined forces to reach the world for Christ through music. Dave began playing the guitar at the early age of 12 and continued to develop and improve his skills throughout the years. In 2016 He formed the band 'In The Verse' which is still very active today. Alina got her start when she discovered her love for singing within her local church. Alina has also been very busy fronting her European band 'I.N.D' - (In Nomine Dei). 'At Home' is a side project for these two artist to stretch out and extend their talents in a different imaginative way.
In an interview at 'The Metal Resource' we discover just how Dave and Alina were introduced and came to work together: (Alina): "On one of the Christian forums on Facebook, where I’ve been posting a link to the video of my band I.N.D, I met Dave the guitarist of the American band 'In The Verse'. We met on fb when Dave simply send me a request for a friendship as a musician. We had a great conversation, and Dave shared some of his demos and suddenly, when I was hearing his first song, I was completely lost for words how much I liked them! So I suggested that maybe I could sing something, Dave agreed. I sent him my vocals that I recorded simply on a Dictaphone, and he just said: “I love it!” That was a great feeling, because after the next one he wrote: “Let’s make a band!”. During just one weekend, 4-songs were made – for us, it was obvious that it was the work of the Holy Spirit, because all was done so fast. I even recorded partially in the USA, and came there to meet personally, it was a great adventure! We feel that these tunes are really anointed songs by Jesus Christ. We believe this is totally the work of the Holy Spirit, because none of us was thinking about establishing a new band, but God had His Own plans."

When it comes to the band's moniker and the meaning behind it - in the interview at 'The Metal Resource' Dave explains: "We were thinking of a lot of names, and then thinking about God’s Promise to all of us who believe in Jesus, turning from our sins, repenting and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That He’s making a new heaven and a new earth for us to be with Him, worshipping Him, being with our loved ones again for eternity. There will be no more tears, pain, nor death, you name it, it won’t be there. Our true home. Our journey is to make it to our Home, and that’s with the Father, when time is up, we can say we are - At Home."
2018
In 2018 'At Home' released their debut full-length studio album titled 'If You Proclaim' on an indie label.
When it comes to the production process, Dave records the instrumental musical parts at his home studio and then sends them to be produced by Tomik who mixes and masters the recordings. The demos are then sent to Alina in Poland to work on lyrics and melodies.

This release finds the band infusing Hard Rock with some catchy modern day elements lightly seasoned with some Pop music styles to form their contagious sound. Some tracks that stand out on this debut project include track-2 “Walk With You”, track-3 “Hope”, track-4 “Break The Chain”, track-5 “Trust”, track-7 “Power of God”, track-8 “If You Proclaim”, track-9 “Mad Love”, and track-10 “Bow Down”.
Vocalist-Alina Lewandowska has a dynamic vocal style that, at times, takes on a heavier sound not unlike that of vocalist-Jaqueline Kunz(Ancient Prophecy). Then there are her beautiful & sweet vocals laced throughout that draws comparison to a similar dynamic-vocal-equation found in the delivery style of Johanna Aaltonen(HB). Alina garners some additional vocal assistance from Dave Hanson on track-6 "Antidote" where he handles lead vocals for the song. In addition, Dave handles backing vocals on a few other tracks throughout this release.
2020
In 2020 At Home re-released their independent debut album with newly imagined cover art along with a different title track - 'Word of God'. This was actually intended to be the album's cover art for the band's original 2018 release, but the band changed it to the crucifixion and used a different song for the album title track.
The band explains the meaning behind their cover art: "The meaning of the artwork is that the dark shattered side reveals how separated we are from God due to our sin. The lighted side with the glowing eye reveals us coming to life, when we choose to turn away from our sin, and repent, fully surrender to Christ, becoming born again, a new creation. The artwork reveals that His Light restores our life, without God, our life is broken! Let go of what you’re holding onto today, allow the Light to come inside, don’t hold onto your brokenness!"
