Stained Red is a Heavy Metal band from Royse City, Texas that was founded in 2018 by vocalist-Kip "Ironman" Brockway and guitarist-DJ "Diamond J" Mackrell. Later that same year, Ironman & Diamond brought on bassist-David "Glitch" Miller to help support to the band's rhythm section. After Glitch was added to the roster they set out in search of a percussionist. They soon discovered drummer-Jyothis "Triple J" John who promptly joined the band completing their line-up. It wasn't long after forming that the band knew it was something God had orchestrated because they quickly wrote an entire line of songs in a matter of weeks and played their first gig after only 2 months.
When it comes to the meaning behind their moniker, the band had the following to say: “He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.” - John the Apostle - Revelation 19:13 -Imagine a robe “stained red” with the blood of Christ... that blood being The Word of God." - Glitch -
In 2020 Stained Red stepped onto the Metal scene with the release of their debut full-length album 'Devil is Going Down'. With this debut release, the band is found playing 80's inspired Metal music while developing their sound. This full-length release is not bad for a debut album with some catchy tracks and arrangements. The album's track-list includes 1.Intro (Eph 6:10-18) 2.Devil Get Behind Me 3.Don't Gamble Your Life 4.Crossroads 5. Thank God For Change 6.Send Down Your Grace 7.Long To See Your Face 8.Thief In The Night 9.Tore Up From The Floor Up 10.Two Worlds Collide 11.Devil Is Going Down.
Not long after the release of their debut album, Stained Red showed no signs of stopping as they entered the studios and began to work on material for a new project.

"We are men that love music and love Jesus and want
to spread the Gospel through song. Though we are a music band we consider
ourselves a ministry; sharing the Gospel through music." - Stained Red -

In 2022 Stained Red released their 4-track self-titled EP on Records DK. This EP release finds the band coming out swinging and offering up a solid much heavier album with no skippers. The album finds the band's sound drawing from both the 80's & the modern day Rock scene in order to create their energetic arrangements. With the album's over all production, the band should be really happy with what they have achieved here because it's tight! The album's cover art could definitely use some help. Hopefully with future releases we will see a little more creativity from the band in this area.
The track-list for the band's self-titled EP includes 1.Daddy Came Home To Fight 2.Exit-O-Dust 3.I Won't Give In 4.Too Cold To Love.

One of the many things that caught my attention about Stained Red is their lead singer Kip "Iron Man" Brockway. Iron Man has an incredibly powerful vocal delivery with tons of potential. His delivery brings to the table a unique style with an 80's vibe along with enough hooks to keep the listener coming back for more. I believe Iron Man has what it takes to appeal to the old-school 80's/early 90's Metal/Rock fans while also being relevant to the modern day Rock scene.
As a side note, one thing that many might not know about Iron Man is that he also serves as a pastor at Millwood Church in Royse City, Texas. In addition, Iron Man has spent many years helping with a prison ministry and bringing hope to the lost who are serving time behind bars.

Guitarist-DJ "Diamond J" Mackrell is the shredder for Stained Red. Diamond draws influence from Dimebag Darrel of the Metal band Pantera. Throughout this project, Diamond offers up some driving guitar riffs, 80's era soloing, Thrash, modern day techniques, acoustic, and bluesy guitar work.
Lyrics are evangelical and Christ centered as one can see in the following excerpts:
"Daddy Came Home To Fight"
Daddy came home tonight to fight
Now he’s kicking down the door
God knows he’s looking for some more
Throwing punches left and right
Daddy came home tonight to fight
Daddy came home to fight
I’ve spent my life in fear and pain
Praying God take this stone away
I never thought He’d hear my cry
I was afraid that I would die
Now the cops are at the door
They cuffed and threw him on the floor
Now they’re taking him away
God wins the fight, my time to praise
I said it’s my time to praise
"Exit-O-Dust"
Exit-O-Dust
Drop your chains and let them rust
Leave your lust
Your golden idols
And all you trust in
Follow me
To a land far beyond the sea
Exodus He’s the Lord of Lords
The King of Kings
In this world today
He hasn’t changed
Still breaking bondage
Breaking nasty chains
O leave your pain and suffering
All behind
He’s made a way for you
To change your life
Exit-O-Dust
Drop your chains and let them rust
"I Won’t Give In"
Now the pain I feel
Sometimes unbearable
But God knows I try
The world we live
I can’t lie
It’s really terrible
Sometimes I cry
So I don’t trust
In what is seen
I don’t lean on
Only what I believe
My faith is real
God’s love concealed
You know I won’t give up
I won’t give in
"Too Cold to Love"
I’ve Been
Too drunk to walk now baby
Too stoned to roll
Too high to fly now baby
Much too cold to love
I took this time in my life
To change my ways
To walk on the right side
Of God’s love
I gave it all to Him
And He changed my heart
To walk on the right side
Of the law
I’ve Been
Filled with the spirit
I’ve been
Rolled by the stone
I’ve Been
Flying with angels
Even though I was too cold to love
Daddy came home tonight to fight
Now he’s kicking down the door
God knows he’s looking for some more
Throwing punches left and right
Daddy came home tonight to fight
