Chaotic Resemblance formed back in 2006 in Poteau, Oklahoma by Vocalist-Travis McConnell. Chaotic Resemblance is a Heavy Metal band, in the veins of Skid Row, that adds spice to their arrangements by incorporating touches of 80's style Glam Metal. When it comes to the meaning behind the band's moniker the band states: "Our band name is based off of Isaiah 40:18 So who even comes close to being like God? To whom or what can you compare him? Without Him we are nothing more than a "Chaotic Resemblance" of His perfection! Because of His supreme sacrifice He made for us on Calvary's cross we want everything we do, every song we play to glorify our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ."
The band has opened for such acts as P.O.D. Y&T, Stryper, Disciple, Children 18:3, Rapture Ruckus, Petra, White Cross, LA Guns, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Mike Tramp (White Lion), Bobby Blotzer RATT Experience, Enuff Z' Nuff, Devil City Angels, BLOODGOOD, Faster Pussycat, Oz Fox of Stryper and even toured with Hip Hop Icon Kurtis Blow. They have shared the stage with Thousand Foot Krutch, Seventh Day Slumber, KUTLESS, Since October, Stellar Kart, Kix, Queensryche The Wedding, PM Today & Project86.
To the band's credit they already have released 2-EPs and 2-full-length albums. In 2012 they released their self-titled EP 'Chaotic Resemblance' and in 2013 they released a second EP titled 'Battle Lines'. Then in the summer of 2014, Oz Fox lent a helping hand and produced the band's full-length debut album titled 'Get The Hell Out'. The line-up for their 2014 debut was comprised of Vocalist/Bassist-Travis McConnell, Guitarist-L/A Ellis, Drummer-Zak Fury along with Oz Fox on lead guitar and Sam McCaslin on Keyboards.

"Today's world is full of so much hate, lies & deceit. We offer love and hope through Jesus Christ!!"
In 2018 Chaotic Resemblance released their followup full-length sophomore album smartly titled 'Covenant'.
Covenant was produced by Oz Fox(Stryper) who also offered his services to the band on their 2014 debut album controversially titled 'Get The Hell Out'. In addition, the band brought on Josiah Prince(Disciple) to the team as producer for their tunes "Virtual Reality", "Jesus is King", and the title track "Covenant" which Josiah co-wrote with the band. Also, Les Carlsen, the vocalist for the well known 80's band Bloodgood, makes a special guest appearance on track 6 -"Out Loud".

There were a couple of changes to the line-up between their debut - 'Get The Hell Out' and their 2018 'Covenant' release with Donnie Sixx returning to fill the position as Bassist for the band and Zak Fury being replaced by Drummer-John Jakway. With that said, the following is the band's line-up for 2018: Vocals-Travis McConnell, Lead Guitarist-L/A Ellis, Bassist-Donnie Sixx, and Drummer-John Jakway.
This sophomore release finds Chaotic Resemblance at the top of their game. This latest offering hits hard and heavy combining elements from the 80's and 90's Metal scene all the while infusing more modern Rock techniques into the arrangements. There are a few tracks that even cross the line into Thrash territory giving the listener more to look forward to from track to track. For those who love a good ballad, the band has also included a killer radio friendly(AOR) praise ballad at track 7 called "Jesus Is King".
One distinguishable characteristic of most Metal bands lies with their album's art work. The album's art work is an important feature because it is responsible for drawing you in and capturing your curiosity to what might be within the album. More often than not, a band's cover art is used to offer up clues to what genre of music one can expect to find within the album. If I didn't know better, upon glancing at this 2018 'Covenant' cover art, I would have to guess that the album was some 80's inspired adult contemporary praise band because there's nothing on the cover here that screams Metal. Hopefully on future releases the band will take this into consideration and put more time into the album's artwork so that it better reflects the band's personality and style of music.
Within this release, lead Guitarist-L/A Ellis is found cutting loose and showing his prowess with the guitar delivering up everything from Doom(i.e. "Only The Start") to 90's style driving guitar play(i.e. "Chaotic Nights") to Power Metal(i.e. "The Mark") to touches of Grunge(i.e. "Covenant") to Thrash(i.e. "Aliens and Strangers"/"The Mark"/"Sound of the Saints"). Yes, as this album moves from beginning to end the guitars just get heavier and heavier resulting in a Metal meltdown that will leave one beg'n for more!
Frontman Travis McConnell states: The band could not be more excited for the release!
“We wrote this record for the Jesus lovers and for the Jesus haters”.
“I feel that if a person can truly experience the radical love of God,
and see an authentic representation of what a life looks like
that has been transformed by this Man of love, there is no denying the truth, Jesus is Lord."
With this release the band shows strong growth from vocals to musicianship to lyrical content & depth. The lyrics are overtly Christ centered as one can see in the following lyrics:

"Sound Of The Saints"
We've Been Knocked Down And Beaten
Shipwrecked In The Deep
In Perils Of Robbers And Often No Sleep
Counterfeit Christians Defile The Cross
The Church Laying Dormant Is There Not A Cause
Pre-Chorus:
Flies In The Ointment Wolves Among Sheep
The Chosen Will Rise Hear Our Decree
Chorus:
This Is The Sound, This Is The Sound
This Is The Sound Of The Saints
Can You Hear, Can You Hear
This Is The Sound Of The Saints
Slaves Of Corruption Promising Freedom
False Prophets And Liars Building Their Kingdom
The Righteous Are Hated For Bearing The Name
But We'll Never Falter We're Not Ashamed
Pre-Chorus:
Flies In The Ointment Wolves Among Sheep
The Chosen Will Rise Hear Our Decree
Chorus:
This Is The Sound, This Is The Sound
This Is The Sound Of The Saints
Can You Hear, Can You Hear
This Is The Sound Of The Saints
Bridge:
I Will Live For You I'll Never Retreat
No Matter The Battle No Foe I Will Flee
I Will Live For You I'll Never Retreat
Not Matter The Battle I Will Not Flee
And Where Is The Body That Slaughters Their Sheep
Children Go Hungry No Shoes On Their Feet
Spirit Of Addiction, Depression, And Strife
I Bind You In The Name That Brings Healing And Life
Chorus:
This Is The Sound, This Is The Sound
This Is The Sound Of The Saints
Can You Hear, Can You Hear
