7 Days
The bands Biography states: 7 Days started out as a project in 2004, Markus Sigfridsson(Guitars), found that he had alot of written songs that were just lying around that didn't fit in with the music of his other two bands, Harmony and Darkwater. So Markus decided to form the band 7 Days and the first to join the band was Bassist Andreas Olsson from Harmony who then informed Markus of drummer Daniel Flores(Mind's Eye). Christian Rivel got involved and introduced to Markus, vocalist Thomas Vikstrom(Talk of the Town, Stormwind, Candlemass) which completed the lineup. Later, Christian Rivel offered the band a deal on his record label Rivel Records.
7 Days has released two albums to date '2007-The Weight of the World' , and 2010-'Into Forever'.

What we find in the band 7 Days is Melodic Heavy Metal on the Progressive side with Symphonic touches.
On their 2007 release "The Weight of the World," the guitar work of Sigfridsson is crunchier than a bag of Ruffles Potato Chips. There are moments where there are slow sludging almost Doom-like guitar work to smok'n fast riffs giving plenty of variation to the album. If you are in a band and are trying to learn how to incorporate guitar solos into your songs then look no further cause this is how it's done!
Production on the album is top notch giving the listener the ability to here all instruments clearly.
Vocalist Thomas Vikstrom fits well with the Progressive style Metal with his Jazzy mid-range delivery. He also is able to reach some higher notes with his falsetto delivery allowing him to add to the overall variation on the album. I must say that on future projects I would like to here even more of this higher pitched voice throughout the album.
The Keyboard work by Markus Sigfridsson and Kaspar Dahlqvist really adds to the mood of the songs and seems to be the glue that helps bind the songs together.
In some areas, the album comes across as having a jam band feel to it with its many instrumentals similar to the band Affector. I think that albums are so much better when they are laced with instrumentals as to give the listener a break from the message and a time that they can fully enjoy the instruments.
Lyrics are Christ centered as you can see in these songs:

Lyrics are Christ centered as you can see in these songs:
"Redeemer"
Will You return to me
Redeemer of all life
Embrace me now and take me home
Will You answer me
Redeemer of all life
Reach to us Your nailed scarred hands
"Fall Again"
I walk in the light of a Saviour
And my heart is pure (the) truth is burning within me
I confess in the blood of remission
Unrighteousness is leaving me again
Oh, yes I will fall again
But I will never fear this darkness
Oh, cause You are my tourniquet
And in Your name I’ll pierce the darkness
"Confession"
Forgive me
Please ease my mind
Forgive me
Please wipe away these tears
Oh, be my guide and make me understand Your ways
Oh, be my guide and take me to the way that You have made
Will You return to me
Redeemer of all life
Embrace me now and take me home
Will You answer me
Redeemer of all life
Reach to us Your nailed scarred hands
"Fall Again"
I walk in the light of a Saviour
And my heart is pure (the) truth is burning within me
I confess in the blood of remission
Unrighteousness is leaving me again

Forgive me
