Limit is a Melodic Rock band from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden that draws inspiration from the 80's Rock scene. Even though Limit had a big radio friendly sound, they were one of many indie bands that flew under the Christian Rock radar not garnering much attention within the mainstream music scene. Originally, the band went by another moniker being known as Reflex back in the early 80's. To their credit, Reflex only recorded one single which was released in 1983 titled-"Dina Nya Kläder". Three years later, in 1986 Reflex changed their band's name to Limit and began work on their full-length debut album.
In 1988 Limit released their full-length debut 11-track album appropriately titled 'When The Clock Strikes'. Their debut was recorded and mixed at Samsound Musikstudio, printed by – SIB-Tryck AB, Norsborg, and photography was done by Leif Wikberg. Production is tight and fitting for this retro 80's keyboard-driven recording. The bands's arrangements are reminiscent of 80's style AOR Rock music in the veins of 'Leviticus' or even 'Covenant'.
Some tracks that stand out among others are "When The Clock Strikes", "There Is Power", "Passion Sea", "You Are Called", and "Divine Wind".

First of all, no matter how much you think it to be, the picture above is not of Nicolas Cage LOL. Frontman-Mårten Eriksson commands the stage for the band with a strong powerful vocal delivery with all the right hooks to keep listeners returning for more. It's worth noting that Mårten also attended the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with the song “Forlorad Igen”. It ended on 4th place with 41 points.
Lyrics are Christ centered a show a love for the Lord as one can see in the following lyric:
"When The Clock Strikes"
The holy one is sitting on his throne
Looking down on people who's searching for gold
With his compassionate eyes he cries
When he see the confusion
So many blinded hearts and closed up minds
And they're all in a lack of peace
Oh you people on the earth
I'm longing for your love
Open your minds, open your hearts
Come to my feast above.
When the clock strikes and the day has come
It's to late my friend to repent
When the lord comes to get his bride
You can not fake or pretend
How ever you might twist there'll be a judgement
That's the reason he gave you a choice
Please make up your mind
In his compassionate way he paid the guilt that you carry
When the Son of God was revealed on earth
The darkness had to kneel
The holy one is sitting on his throne
Looking down on people who's searching for gold
With his compassionate eyes he cries
When he see the confusion
So many blinded hearts and closed up minds
And they're all in a lack of peace
Oh you people on the earth
I'm longing for your love
Open your minds, open your hearts
Come to my feast above.
When the clock strikes and the day has come
It's to late my friend to repent
When the lord comes to get his bride
You can not fake or pretend
How ever you might twist there'll be a judgement
That's the reason he gave you a choice
Please make up your mind
In his compassionate way he paid the guilt that you carry
When the Son of God was revealed on earth
The darkness had to kneel
