As a reviewer, it's always a fun & exciting moment when I discover a band that I didn't know about previously. However, the excitement only intensifies when I get to release the find to our viewers around the world about the following band.
Bone Prophet hails from Knoxville, TN and delivers up Hard Rock/Metal that is infused with healthy doses of Grunge and Blues guitar work. The band holds the belief that music isn’t just a hobby but also gives a person, group, or country an identity, brings people together, calms the soul, and at times just makes us feel good.

Bone Prophet draws inspiration for their band's moniker from the biblical text in Ezekiel and his vision of the valley of dry bones as found in Chapter 37. In this biblical text, we find that Ezekiel was told to prophecy over the bones and say: "O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD." The bones then came to life.
In 2010 Bone Prophet released their full-length self-titled debut album. After the release of their debut, the band was featured at some of Christian Rock’s largest festivals and events including two appearances at the Ichthus Festival in Wilmore, KY and the Cornerstone festival in Bushnell, IL. The group is also enjoying international success with concerts in Ontario, Canada and talks of a UK tour.
Without question, Frontman Eddie Moles is going to make waves in the Metal community with his ability to deliver in a unique and inspiring way. Eddie's sings more in the mid-range with his delivery on the melodic side with a gritty edge. Eddie's delivery brings to mind some talented Vocalists from the 90's like Scott Weiland(Stone Temple Pilots) , John Rzeznik(Goo Goo Dolls) , and even Eddie Vedder(Pearl Jam). Now i'm not saying that Eddie Moles is a copy of the aforementioned Vocalists however, there are some similarities present there. A very good example of a tune where Eddie sounds similar to Scott Weiland is on the tune "Cross" where one can't help but recall the Stone Temple Pilots and their style of music.
The Guitar work for Bone Phropher is delivered from a duo approach from frontman-Eddie Moles and lead guitarist-Brian Settle. Eddie & Brian's guitar work is best described as being crunchy and packing a heavy punch much like you would expect to find on a Hard Rock/Metal album. However, where the band mixes things up is where they add flavorings from Blues & Grunge style guitar play. The ability to draw from a wide variety of genres really sets these two guitarist apart from others and insures a broader audience.
Ken Seaton is our Bassist here and he does a good job rounding out the sound for Bone Prophet. I appreciate that there are moments throughout the album that the Bass is given opportunities to shine.
Roy Clemmer is our kit manager and he does a fine job making his presence known while keeping time for the band. Drums are hammered out more in the form of what we saw in the 90's Rock/Grunge scene which, to these ears, hits the mark loud and clear.

Bone Prophet has also collaborated with film producer Bob Denney to record on a music soundtrack for the independent film "Light" released June 2011. Two of the band members also appear as actors in the film.
They also have written the music for the T.V show 'Scaly Adventures' which airs every Saturday across the world on Daystar Television Network. This production features Peirce Curren and is produced by Rick and Tanya.

“We aren’t out there just to give a rock concert”, explains Moles, “More importantly than songs, God gives us messages and it’s our honor to share His message with everyone”.
"Usually Sunday"
I don't always think of you
It's usually Sunday when I do.
Maybe friends get in my way
to many reasons I can't say.
I know you always think of me
Every minute that I breathe
Even when they drove the nails
I know your love never fails.
Chorus
Well your love it's amazing
you know it really blows my mind
Your love it's amazing
you know it really blows my mind.
"Find Me"
Lord find me, in the shadows of Your wings,
Lord find me, in the presence of Your King,
Lord find me, in the place You love so well,
Lord find me, in the place You love to dwell.
Chorus
Find me, on my knees.
Find me, with my hands raised high.
Find me, in Your hearts desire.
Find me, in Your consuming fire.
Lord find me, dancing like David danced,
Lord find me praying like Moses prayed,
Lord find me, in the place You love so well,
Lord find me, in the place You love to dwell.
Chorus

The last song on the debut album "Dance With Me", is an incredible tune that really show cases the heart and Vocal ability of Eddie Moles. You will find that the band has dramatically toned it down on this one but if you find that you like this tune then you should check out the band's 2012 release 'Unleaded' because it is more of a straight up praise album that leaves off the heavy guitars.
In 2012, Bone Prophet released their sophomore album 'Unleaded' which is a semi acoustic/worship album. The band states: "We thought it would be fun to put together an album with some of the older stuff that was written when Bone Prophet first started, mixed with a couple of new ones. Most of our fans know us as a Rock group but aren't aware that most of us got started in Christian music as worship leaders and worship musicians. Lifting up the name of Jesus is something that is number one in our hearts and always on our minds. Though the loud Rock scene is exciting and fun, we as a group can't escape the fact that we are worshipers at heart. With that said, we hope that through this new project God will reveal Himself to you in a new and mighty way, and that you may have a new song to sing...and together, we can rejoice in all that He has done for us."
If you like your Metal on the Grunge/Bluesy side with a heavy helping of fist pounding, guitar shredding, Rock & Roll, then you really need to check out Bone Prophet's 2010 self-titled album, and let the shred began.
