Abraham grew up in Tegucigalpa, Honduras where he was exposed to a wide variety of music styles which included R&B, Folk, Latin, and Rock. He began to play with local Folk bands with a focus on the Classic Guitar, Mandolin, and Upright Bass. Abraham, Just after viewing a live performance by Luis Lagos, was inspired to take up the Electric Guitar and began playing it under the guidance and instruction of Eduardo Cedeno. From there he continued with the Electric Guitar in his pursuit of trying to master the riff and in the process, using his instrument to glorify God. Amador draws influence from a wide range of artist including Yngwie Malmsteen, Alex Skolnick, Steve Vai, and even Eddie Van Halen.
In 2011, Abraham Amador released his full length debut album simply called 'Sacrifice'. Although this is an independent release, the production is superb while featuring Rock/Metal Guitar instrumentals.
Normally, instrumental albums don't draw any attention here at Christian Molten Metal. However, when it comes to guitar oriented instrumental bands like Trans-Siberian Orchestra and now Abraham Amador who can "sing" by medium of the Electric Guitar riff, then what we have is more that just an instrumental album. What we are given is a work of art that still delivers a message. If you know the hymns that are presented on this 2011 release, then it's very likely that you will find yourself singing along as the riffs portray the well known lyrics.

If you are like me and appreciate a variety of styles, then there's plenty to get excited about here as our guitarist does a great job of mixing things up. Although always maintaining a Metal presence, some of the softer tunes can be relaxing to listen to. Some tunes lean toward the Progressive side of Metal where they start out soft and progress to climaxes that are strikingly heavier in nature like the tunes "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" , "Holy, Holy, Holy", and "Sacrifice".
Then there are lighter Blues infused tunes that gravitate towards the Jazz side of the tracks(no pun intended). The tracks with these leanings are as follows: "Rebekah Song" , "How Great Thou Art" , "Whispering" , "I Want To Tell You". In addition, these tunes also all have a slight Progressive quality to them as well.
Some tracks shake things up as our guitarist brings down the axe. These are the tracks where the rubber meets the road and the head begins to pound as the riff is struck: "Pilgrimage" , "He Walks With Me" , and "Hymns". The tune "Hymns" stokes the fire with some fast Power Metal riffage mixed with general 80's era noodling that will have you rocking for almost 8 minutes as it is the longest track on the disc.
The only artist that I can think to compare Abraham with is the solo projects that David Zaffiro released. This comparison is due to similar Melodic style riffs and techniques that are present between the two.

With Abraham Amador now living in the US, he teaches guitar, Bass, and Percussion. His general knowledge of harmony, genre, and expression are key elements that help set him apart from others while he plays and teaches.
If you are looking for something off the beaten path and just want a break from having a vocalist present in the music yet still maintaining a Metal presence, then look no further than Abraham Amador's release 'Sacrifice'.
